Measure Information

If the measure passes, a new district would stabilize funding,
protect 4-H youth programs and support local farms, food and families.

Why should it pass?
  • Since 1911, OSU Extension in Umatilla and Morrow Counties has engaged residents with university-based information and research to foster healthy farms, food and families.  Some of those services include: 4-H youth development, Master Gardeners, Master Food Preservers, Master Woodland Managers, nutritional and health education activities and Research Field Days
  • 99,000 Contacts Umatilla & Morrow Counties Serve Each Year - That's A LOT of people who benefit from Extension services!
  • If the measure passes, the creation of an Extension district would stabilize funding and secure the future for Extension services in Umatilla & Morrow Counties
  • If the measure passes, the fixed rate of property tax assessed would be 33 cents per $1000 assessed value.  For example, a home assessed at $125,000 would cost the homeowner approximately $41 per year.
